Dr. Murray Davidson was born and grew up in Cape Town, South Africa. After matriculating in 1996 with five distinctions at the Hottentots Holland High School in Somerset West, he went on to complete his Bachelor’s Degree in Medicine and Surgery (MB ChB) at the University of Stellenbosch in 2002. From thereon, Dr. Davidson completed his internship at the Pietermaritzburg Complex of Hospitals. He moved to Johannesburg in 2003, where he went on to specialize in Cardiothoracic Surgery at the University of the Witwatersrand. In August 2010, Dr. Davidson joined the Fellowship of Cardiothoracic Surgeons of South Africa

A dedicated family man, Dr. Davidson is happily married to Mary-Anne and they share two children, Craig & Caydence. Away from work, Dr. Davidson is a keen cyclist and an avid mountain biker,  but also enjoys hiking, sailing, and the great outdoors.
